There is a great deal of stigma attached to addiction. Some claim it is nothing more than a moral weakness that can be overcome using will-power. We believe addiction to be a progressive disease that affects the whole person...mind, body, and spirit. If left untreated, it often results in death. Do you overcome cancer or diabetes using will-power? Of course not! It needs to be treated. Like cancer there are many ways to treat the disease of addiction. The staff at DACC and our clients explore those options together.
When it comes to substance abuse treatment, our philosophy is simple, "ONE SIZE DOES NOT FIT ALL." We work together with our clients to determine the best course of treatment. Once the goal of sobriety is reached, a new chapter is opened in the lives of our clients and the process of re-building one's life from the inside-out begins.

QUESTIONS TO ASK......
In the last 12 months, have you...
1. Felt like you should cut down on your drinking? 2. Ever been annoyed by someone criticizing your drinking/using? 3. Ever felt guilty about your drinking/using 4. Ever had the need to have a drink or drug to "steady the nerves", "get rid of a hangover", or feel "normal"?
If you answered 'Yes' to any one (1) of these questions, there is a good chance you are at risk for addiction.
We offer services in ASL, Contact, or other assistance for the hard of hearing.
